Elisa Carlson

Elisa Carlson’s film coaching credits include all dialects and historic voices for Ava DuVernay’s Selma and Damien Chazelle’s First Man. Other film and television coaching projects include Baby Driver, The Good Lie, Southside with You, A Dark Place, Coat of Many Colors, Steel Magnolias, “Stranger Things” and the upcoming release Burden. Outside of the Atlanta market, Elisa was voice and text consultant for Campbell Scott’s Hamlet and played a featured role in the film, and coached all voices for the Independent Spirit Award winner Sweet Land.
In the theatre, her recent acting credits include Woman and Scarecrow for Aris Theatre, The Book of Will at Theatrical Outfit, multiple productions at the Alliance Theatre, as well as shows at the Guthrie, Shakespeare Theatre Company, StageWest and Actor’s Express. Directing credits include Theatrical Outfit, Alliance Theatre Reiser Lab, the Guthrie Theater’s BFA Acting program, Theater Emory and the Gainesville Theatre Alliance. Elisa has served as voice and text coach for multiple productions at the Guthrie, Alliance, Alley, The Children’s Theatre, American Player’s Theatre and Oregon Shakespeare. She is Professor of Theatre at UNG and Resident Director for GTA.
