Robert Homer-Drummond is a Professor of Theatre at Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina. He has been an actor, director and theatre educator for more than twenty years. Recent directing work includes AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, HAMLET, THE SKIN OF OUR TEETH & OEDIPUS REX. He has also written and produced an original play about his early years in Vietnam and return many years later titled OF ANGELS AND DRAGONS. He has served as the Chair of the Acting/Directing Committee for SETC (The Southeastern Theatre Conference) and is currently the Chair of the College/University Division for SETC. He is the Artistic Director of the AU Repertory Theatre which provides Anderson-area high-school students the opportunity to do classical theatre. He helped create the curriculum for the B.F.A in Acting degree at Anderson University. Recent acting roles include Ulysses in Sharr White’s ANNAPURNA, Baptista in THE TAMING OF THE SHREW and Leonato in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING. He has been married to his wife, Sharon, a biologist, for twenty-five years. They have one daughter, Katharine, who recently designed scenery, costumes and props for a production of WARSAW MELODY by Leonid Zorin at Oberlin College where she is a sophomore.
