Jemma Alix Levy is an Assistant Professor of Theater at Washington and Lee University. She has directed critically acclaimed productions all over the US, and spent ten years as Artistic Director of Muse of Fire Theatre Company in Evanston, IL. Jemma received her Bachelor’s degree from Amherst College, then graduated from The Juilliard School's directing program before earning a Master’s degree in Humanities from the University of Chicago and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University’s program in association with the American Shakespeare Center. Recent professional directing credits include Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Prague Shakespeare Company, and touring productions for the American Shakespeare Center and Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival. Jemma previously taught at Webster University's Conservatory of Theater Arts, Wabash College, Mary Baldwin University, and The Brearley School.
