Jeni serves as Woodford Theatre’s Education Director & is thrilled to call Woodford her artistic home. Based in the Lexington, KY, area, Jeni is also an activist, educator, & team leader for The Girl Project (TGP), working with middle- and high-school girls to devise original work drawn from lived experience. Originally from Charlotte, NC, Jeni earned a B.A. in Performance at the University of South Carolina, & an M.A. in Theatre at the University Of Kentucky. Her master’s thesis, Cultivating the Unassailable, analyzed the pedagogy & application of The Pacific Performance Project (P3/East), which integrates the Suzuki method, Shogo Ohta’s slow tempo work, & principles of aikido training. Jeni has trained with P3 in South Carolina & Seattle. As a Lexington-area actor, Jeni has performed with Woodford Theatre, Kentucky Conservatory Theatre, & Studio Players. Jeni teaches at the University of Kentucky & has taught at Campbellsville University & the Academy for Creative Excellence.
